------------------------------Intro--------------------------------------
Alright, so you've decided to be a crusader but wait your still a novice and have no clue what stats to raise. Well That's what this guide is for to help people XD. ( Yes i know there are a lot of spelling mistakes but it was 4 in the morning when i wrote this
----------------The Crusader - The Holy Warrior--------------
Those who choose this charactor have a long a tedious task ahead of them. Especially from all the lonely soloing you do up untill your a high level. The Crusader is a relitivly good class all around. It's mainly for those who want to be on the front lines while having some supportive skills to help yourself and others out.
----------------------------Getting Started----------------------------
So you don't know what starting stats to get eh? Well in my opinion for the stats your gonna be raising just start with all of your stats at 5. While in the novice training area getting your free levels raise STR DEX and VIT at the same pace. Up untill you get to higher levels you wont need INT or VIT as much.
------------------------------On That Note-----------------------------
If you don't want to spend a lot of pots try to get a tank. Mabey me or Raikain can help you
-------------------------The Novie Days-------------------------------
Ah the part of the game no one wants to do, leveling as a novice.
Always choose payon as your starting point, it's one of the most basic places to level a starting char. Since most of the time you will be soloing. As soon as you get to payon do whatever preperations you need (buying pots, weapons ect.) Then head 1 area East of Payon city easy right? Fight mushrooms and willows till your levels are 12\10 (in case you didn't know thats base level\ job level) and if your feelin bold go 1 more map east and figth snakes and poporings (a lot of pots will be used if you figth these) As soon as you get job level 10 start heading to Izlude. Head for the sowrdsman guild which is the building west from the center of Izlude. head in and apply at the corrisponding NPC at the main desk and tell him you want to be a swordsman to start your test. After you meet the requirments go left and enter the room and there should be a NPC at the back of the room that when talked to will take you to the test area. Its easy all you have to do is walk through the area without falling or touching green panels. The green ones represent poison so if you step on them you will get hurt. After 3 boring stages that will try your patience you reach a NPC who when talked to will wapr you back to the swordsman guilds main lobby. Go talk to the guy behind the desk and he will make you a swordsman. Step one completed XD.
---------------------------The Swordy Days---------------------------
Ok so now your a swordsman the first thing you need to do is find yourself a better weapon.( the one they give you is crappy) I just get a Ring Pommel Saber and level it to as much as you can without breaking it for now. Trust me don't waste money on a better sword because you will use a spear for most of your leveling. Get back to Payon as soon as possible. Head one place East again and start killing mushrooms and willows. Every time you get a job level put your skill points on HP Recovery. It serves you well in the long run. During all these levels you rais STR DEX and VIT at the same rate. When you get around levels 15-20 go one more place East and figth snakes and poporings ( to do this without dieing make sure you have pots ready on a hotkey) Ok you should be able to level atleast to level 25 on poporings and snakes then head onto smokies. More pots will be needed so be ready to buy You will train on somkies till your level 33.These levels you raise STR DEX and VIT at the same rate. Don't worry about INT yet.Ok so your level 33 and xp is gettin slow from the smokies. Hurray you get to search for a spear. I reccomend buying a Lance form the Pront. armory.located NorthEast of the cent of Pront.it may cost a lot but you'll need it. After you got your provisions head back to Payon once again =) This time head south of Payon one place and then west one place. The long walk is boring but worth it. Once there you may notice a creaky door sound. They are Greatest Generals and are very powerful. There is a simple tactic to kill them. Get exactly 3 cells away from them and equip your Lance and attack. If done correctly you should attack it without it attacking you by being just out of its range. There are annoying little aggressive monsters called Elder Willows. They get really annoying as it can take awhile to kill the Greatest Generals at lower levels. There also is a mini boss that spawns once every hour called Vagabond Wolf don't try to fight it as it will kill you. You can train here on Greatest Generals till your base level 50 and job level 40. It just might take awhile but atleast it's steady experience and you get good drops from Greatest Generals. When goin from base level 40-50 raise only INT.
-----------------------Skills You Should Have-----------------------
When you get to job level 41 your skill set up should look like this.
~~~~Hp Recovery-LV10
~~~~Bash-LV10
~~~~Sword Mastery-LV10
~~~~ProvokeLV5 Opt
~~~~Endure-LV5
~~~~*Magnum Break LV 0-4
They are listed in order from most important at the top and least on the bottonm. ( the ones with a * next to the skill is optional in case you want to go higher then job level 41
---------------------------The Job Change--------------------------
This is perhaps the most annoying part about making this charactor. Head to Pront. and go into the castle at the top of Pront. Go 2 rooms north and walk left and keep goin up the stairs till you get to a room with a lot of Crusaders. Talk to the main one in the back room to initiate the test. heres what you have to do.
1. Gather Items ( most boring ) listed below
1 Hand Of God
1 Chivlry Emblem
Sound easy? nah these things are a pain to get. I recommend going to Pront. and look through the many player shops to find them.
2. Oh YAY an Endurance test.......
Quite possibly the most annoying this to do ever. You need to have a Rosary equipped and head to the first room of the castle and go right till you see stairs leading down below. Shen you get down there you will find a sorta storage room with a guy in the back. Talk to him and he will teleport you to the endurance test. This consiists of a narrow passage way filled with Greatest generals, familiers, and hydras. Cast endure as soon as you get in there and make a mad dash to the other sided of the room while mad casting endure as soon as it runs out over and over. It helps to have some pots with you. You may fail a few times but thats ok.
3. Hey guess what A FIGHTING TEST.
After you get done with test 2 head back up to the Crusader room and talk to the npc thats by the stairs goin down but is all the was on the right. You need Holy Water for this part. Give him the holy water and your off to your next test. Its rather easy compared to ite searching quests as all your gonna be doing is runing down a hall while you kill hoards of psyco undead things wanting to eat your brains =) Zombies,Mummies, that sorta thing. Bring pots and you'll be ok. Also at the end you have to fight your "evil" self easy right? it usualy has the same stats as you and will dead more damage to you then you will it. A pain in the as if you know what i mean. Lucky you you passed? didn't you? WHAT YOU DIDN'T not a problem try again my friend
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Passes At Last~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So you passed the final test. Go back to the npc in the back of the Crusader room and BAM your now a Crusader. You will notics a fat health boost as well as sp.
-------------------------------What now?-----------------------------
Well now that your a Crusader there is only 1 thing you should do TRAIN. Go to Leaf cats for awhile they give good job xp. Just watchout for the aggro Wootan Fighters-AKA Scotts grandma XD
